About Us
- The Flathead Community Health Center began seeing patients in December 2007
- Our mission statement is "To improve access to health care in our community."
- No patients can be turned away due to inability to pay for services.
- We have a governing board of community volunteers who oversee the policies and budget of this clinic.
- Flathead Community Health Center is modeled on the nationwide system of Community Health Centers.
- These health centers provide comprehensive primary care and offer discounted services base don household income.
- The Federal program began in the 1960's and has been providing expanding support for such clinics. There are approximately 2,300 Federally Supported Clinics, including 9 in Montana.
- These clinics are able to offer dental services, mental health counselors, and discounted pharmacy services. We are in the process of applying for funds so that we can expand services.
