The state of Montana continues to have one of the highest rates of suicide in the nation, with a statewide average of 29.6 deaths by suicide per 100,000 individuals, compared to the national average of 13.0 per 100,000. Additionally, 5.0% of Flathead County adults reported a time in the past year when they needed mental health services but were not able to get them. Help us prevent suicide.

Mental Health First Aid is a free community training that teaches individuals how to identify common signs of mental illness and substance use, how to interact with a person in crisis, and how to connect the person with appropriate help.
